Referring New Residents

St Anne's takes referrals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, if a vacancy is available. We cater for single males 25 years old and over.

There is no upper limit although residents need to be fully mobile and have only low needs. To secure accommodation they will need proof of income, identification and £70.70 for two weeks rent in advance.

Please call 0121 772 4406 if you wish to see if a vacancy is available.

St Anne’s was founded in 1976 by Father Pascal Dillon, a local priest. He established a hostel for homeless men in the crypt of St. Chad’s Cathedral. This moved to 112 Moseley Street and we have remained in this Victorian grade II listed building, originally the police barracks for Birmingham.

The hostel has always provided a safe and secure alternative to life on the streets, giving men the opportunity to rebuild their self-confidence and for an increasing number, make permanent changes to their lifestyle.

In 2008, Park View opened. This block of 17 self-contained flats was built to provide a focus for independent living, learning and development. Unfortunately, in 2009 we were unsuccessful in retaining Supporting People Funding. Although closure looked possible, through the hard work and dedication of the team, we stayed open. We now provide a bed for the night and breakfast for 35 residents, with the intention of resuming our client support and move-on service in the future.
